Chungwoon Literature Library in Autumn: A Charming Visit 🍂

1. Chungwoon Literature Library Operating Hours 🕰️

 

I visited Chungwoon Literature Library last Saturday. The operating hours are as follows:

• Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• Saturday to Sunday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Closed on Mondays, January 1st, Lunar New Year, and Chuseok holidays.

 

 

When you get off at the bus stop, you will see the Yoon Dong-ju Literature Museum. Unfortunately, we arrived during the lunch disinfection time, so we couldn’t enter. The disinfection time is from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.

 

2. How to Get to Chungwoon Literature Library and Parking Information 🚗

 

The parking lot is very small and fills up quickly, so we took the bus. You can take bus number 1020 from Gwanghwamun Station Exit 2. On Saturdays, it’s good to check the available buses in advance because there are often protests near Gwanghwamun, causing buses to detour. We couldn’t take bus number 7212. 

 

 

If you want to park, try the Mugaewon Public Parking Lot.

3. Scenery of Chungwoon Literature Library 🌳

Poet Yoon Dong-ju often saw this scenery when he climbed Inwangsan Mountain. 

 

 

Look at the colors of the leaves. Aren’t they beautiful? 

 

 

Reading a book in such a place would be wonderful.

 

 

 

 

4. Hanok Reading Room at Chungwoon Literature Library 📚

 

There is a Hanok reading room. The phytoncide scent from the wood is very pleasant.

 

 

There is a small waterfall at the back. 

 

 

 

 

Although the water wasn’t flowing during our visit, but it was flowing when we left. The parking lot is small, so come early if you want to park.

 

 

 

5. First Floor Reading Room at Chungwoon Literature Library 📖

We went downstairs. As expected from a literature library, most of the books are related to literature.

 

 

 

Wow, there is a kids’ zone next to the adult reading room.

 

 

 

 

6. Lunch at Gyeyeolsa(계열사)🍗

 

We didn’t have lunch. My son was hungry, so we went to eat. We went to Gyeyeolsa(계열사) famous for its fried chicken. We ordered one fried chicken. 

 

 

 

There are always many waiting teams.

 

 

 

We went down to the basement.

 

The chicken came out with fried potatoes. It tasted even better because we were hungry. It was crispy, and the breast meat was cut to fry it better inside.

 

 

We are heading home. Next time, we will visit the Yoon Dong-ju Literature Museum and the nearby Changuimun (Jahamun) Gate.
